In Tibet, the swastika means “perpetual motion”, and rotates clockwise. Synkotic has undergone five or six revisions over the last seven years, and the push for new ideas has been great fun. It's all about creativity, and reaching for whatever medium allows you to express yourself at any given moment. Given today's massive amount of anaolg and digital options, it can be quite overwhelming at times. Where did "Synkotic" come from? At about 3am, during a lab in school (hungry and sleep-deprived); "synchronicity + psychotic". Advice to live by: find people who are better than you, and be friends with them.
Sold VW to buy technics. No regrets. Focus is on clean, smooth mixing; OSM tracks are great too. Music depends on crowd, environment, time of day, my mood and how good my socks are. I think my story sounds very similar to others: "when I was little...", but it does. I started banging on my grandma's keyboard when I was little, then started playing the flute and molding my ears towards sound. As far as deejaying, I try to blend a variety of sounds together to create a smooth journey to many different places and back, while keeping it uplifting, funky and of course dirty. I have been lucky enough to live in some really great places, surrounded by really talented people, and have tried to absorb quite a bit. What you see/hear from me is a compilation of my relationships and experiences thus far, my perception of circumstances around me and the tools I've been given to work with. Sometimes you will get it and sometime you won't. Sometimes I don't get it. I've played in Portland (ME), Tulsa (OK), Florida (Tampa, Orlando, Bradenton), San Francisco, LA, Tokyo, and somewhere in Ohio once. I think there were ghosts in the house we stayed at. Download mixes below. If you don't love it, don't do it!
I crave good coffee like a thirsty man in the desert. Born in New York. Grew up in Maine. Also lived in Orlando, San Francisco, Manhattan, and now Los Angeles. Furthest travels have been Tokyo and Bangkok. Year of birth, 1977. Attended Full Sail for Recording Arts and Digital Media. Love techy stuff, but suffocate if I can’t do something creative. Does that make me bi-polar?

A sister site to Synkotic, Schwapp was created to showcase my professional work, and to allow Synkotic to exhist as an edgier entity. Here you can view projects, some old, some new.

All that I needed was another site to update, right? As another sister site to Synkotic, Stank Foot Orchestra is simply another outlet, but for music.
